THE WOOD FUEL MARKET

LC Energy has built its business around supplying markets from local sources. This means that wherever the demand for low carbon heat energy or wood fuel supply is needed we will provide a local solution or create the local supply chain on behalf of our customers.

We know that a change in heating system is sometimes driven by outside influences such as old system failures, planning regulations
or remote locations. However we also know that it can also be a decision made by a desire to secure a low cost fuel with reduced CO2.

In either case we take an independent perspective on the heating systems and have developed relationships with a wide range of the top UK and Overseas suppliers which allows us to recommend the best "fit for purpose" solutions to our customers.

Our market for wood fuel is primarily through wood chip and can be supplied to single domestic properties up to large district heating schemes for multiple units. Each scheme will have a dedicated project team with the specific experience and knowledge to deliver the correct solution.

The following categories are indicative of our market and where a consistent heat load will generate significant fuel cost savings and carbon emission reductions.
  •  Property developments
  •  Schools and universities
  •  Public sector buildings
  •  Farms and land estates
  •  Hospitals and care homes
  •  Sports and leisure centres
  •  Out of town supermarkets
In view of the changes to planning regulations there is a much greater focus on low carbon energy options. Targets are being measured through schemes such as Eco Homes and the Code for Sustainable Homes to ensure that energy efficiency and low carbon energy generation are implemented.

Biomass is the only renewable energy option which can consistently provide carbon emission reductions and save fuel costs
