  • Wood Chip is readily available and cheaper than mains gas and oil
  • Wood Chip is a renewable energy source
  • Wood Chip combustion is carbon neutral
  • An average 3-bed house uses 8 tonnes of wood chip per year which saves about 3 tonnes of CO2
  • Wood Fuel heating systems can be fully automated
  • Wood Fuel heating systems convert 90% of the fuel into usable heat energy
  • The South East has the most dense woodland in England
  • The South East can produce 500,000 tonnes of sustainablewood chip per year (i.e. 62,500 houses)
