LC Energy Ltd is now an authorised Producer-Trader for wood chip on the Biomass Supplier List (BSL) which is a Government owned scheme.
Why is this important…?
The BSL is the only timber sourcing accreditation scheme which will allow biomass users to claim the RHI.
What does this mean for our clients?
By specifying LC Energy as your fuel supplier for wood chip, you will meet the fuel criteria necessary for your RHI application.
When is it relevant…?
The list of BSL authorised fuels will be made available by Ofgem to consumers this summer and from October it will be compulsory for anyone claiming RHI to buy from a BSL approved supplier.
What does this mean…?
If you wish to claim RHI, you will need to source your wood fuel from a BSL accredited fuel supply chain.
What next for accredited biomass supplier, LC Energy…?
LC Energy are currently in the process of applying to the BSL for approved Trader status for our wood pellets. If you are applying to the RHI for a wood pellet boiler, we will have approved status in time for the October deadline, so our customers can be assured that all our fuel will meet the BSL and RHI standards.
In addition to the BSL listing, LC Energy is also accredited for Woodsure Plus (wood chip quality) and soon to be accredited for EN+ A1 (wood pellet quality) and ISO 9001. LC Energy are a HETAS approved supplier and members of the Wood Heat Association.
