OUR WOOD PELLETS ARE BSL ACCREDITED FOR
RHI PAYMENTS

We can confirm all LC Energy wood pellets are fully BSL accredited and registered with the Biomass Suppliers List (BSL) and are eligible for RHI repayments from the authorisation date of our products. The relevant BSL number is printed on all of our invoices so you have all the information you need to submit your quarterly reports and apply for your RHI payments.

To receive RHI payments from the 5th October 2015, you must use fuels that meet the sustainability criteria, the simplest way to meet the criteria is to use sustainable fuel authorised on the Biomass Suppliers List.

WOOD PELLET STORAGE & CLEANING STORAGE FACILITIES

We understand the critical importance of continuous wood fuel supply and our engineers can advise of the optimum storage facility for your requirements. LC Energy can provide a quick and efficient pellet store cleaning service by our team of trained engineers. With our specialised equipment and experience we can ensure your fuel store is in optimum condition for re-stocking wood pellets in preparation for the winter.

LC Energy supports the UKPC pellet storage guidelines which recommends installing the largest pellet store to meet your annual fuel requirement. A larger pellet store would see fewer wood pellet deliveries each year reducing costs and carbon emissions.

Cleaning a Wood Pellet Store

It is advised that you clean your pellet store annually to ensure you get the most from your biomass pellet heating system. A well maintained system will achieve optimum combustion to provide you with economical, trouble free heating and hot water.

With every delivery and subsequent transfer of pellets to the boiler there is an element of dust created by pellet attrition which will accumulate over time. This may not be visible from the inspection hatch of the fuel store as dust can collect on the wall of the fuel store and in the augers, pellets can stick to the dust and can eventually lead to the auger blocking in due time which can cause a considerable amount of damage.

Deep Clean Preparation

With careful planning ensure your pellet storage container is emptied before cleaning so that minimal pellets have to be removed. It is not advisable to reuse any pellets removed for heating purposes. LC Energy can ensure you receive a bulk blown delivery for the same or following day to avoid any delay in restarting your boiler.

Costs

We can provide a quote for a deep clean based on your location, size and accessibility of your pellet store or alternatively, if you would like to deep clean your pellet store yourself please contact us for further information. We advise for best safe practice that you see the HSE Safety Notice as shown on the UK Pellet Council Website.
