We helped Peaslake Primary School in Surrey upgrade from an ageing 87 kW oil-fired boiler, to a Gercross 50 kW pellet fired boiler, with an indoor pellet silo and automated, vacuum-driven pellet transfer system to feed the boilers. We also erected a small boiler house and fuel store close to the school, and improved Peaslake’s heat and distribution system and radiators, to improve air temperature control within the classrooms. Their fuel supply costs reduced by 1/3 on top of RHI grants.
We have also been working in Berkshire College of Agriculture (BCA) since winning the contract for maintenance of their 220kW and 32okW Froling boilers in October 2016. BCA grow and harvest their own willow fuel, which we combine with ours to provide their fuel supply. In addition, LC Energy provides the engineering services to ensure the smooth running of the boiler systems. We service them to manufacturer requirements, clean flues, and respond to reactive and emergency callouts. These wood fuel boilers are the primary source of heating for the college.
