LC Energy Plants An Oak Tree For The Queen’s Green Canopy

On the 4th November 2022, LC Energy planted an oak tree at LC Energy’s head office based in the Surrey Hills, to commemorate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Queen’s Green Canopy is a national tree planting and preservation scheme. The scheme is a national initiative, that encourages individuals, schools, communities, counties, cities, and businesses across the UK to get involved in planting trees to honour the queen.

Mark Lebus, LC Energy’s Managing Director said: “We are delighted to be part of this special legacy, marking Her Majesty Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The trees planted across the UK as part of the scheme, will be enjoyed by future generations for years to come.”

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the then Prince of Wales planted the first tree in the grounds of Windsor Castle in March 2021, to mark the launch of the QGC initiative.

The Queen’s Green Canopy project will see over a million trees planted in Her Majesty’s name across the nation during the first planting season, October 2021 to March 2022. The interactive map created by The Queen’s Green Canopy showcases the planting projects across the United Kingdom.
