LC Energy supply both engineering and wood fuel services to Universities all over the country. In April 2016, Cranfield University inaugurated their new biomass boiler, and since then we have been supplying them with fuel. Regular deliveries of our WoodSure Plus accredited wood chip allow the highest quality burn with few emissions, to ensure a reliable source of heat. In addition, we have supplied Surrey Sports Park, part of Surrey University, with fuel and engineering services since 2013 to heat their leisure centre and sporting facilities.
Since March 2016, every year, we have invited students at Surrey University to have a look around one of our distribution hubs. The visit includes a talk and tour from our Stock Coordinator, helping students learn more about LC Energy’s operational and management processes health and safety and auditing. We always receive amazing feedback from the students that attend, as they appreciate the inside look into what we do on a daily basis, placing a lot of what they learn about into context.
