Come join us at ‘Innovate Guildford’ , a festival aimed at inspiring young people to become passionate about Science and Arts. The annual event, hosted by G-live, was set up Nikki Nelson-Smith, former Mayor of Guildford, in 2016, with the goal of “giving visitors a behind-the-scenes view of cutting-edge technology and research”. She believed it could educate young people about what they “could potentially pursue as a career in the future”, and hoped “many people leave the event with a greater awareness of science and how it is linked with the arts”. The event was a huge triumph, and was even bigger and better last year, with over 7,000 people attending. Following on from these successes, ‘Innovate Guildford 2018’ promises an exciting day not to be missed!
LC Energy are joining The University of Surrey, Royal Surrey County Hospital, McLaren, and and the Academy of Contemporary Music, among others, in contributing towards a day of fascinating exhibits, activities and presentations, ranging from virtual reality displays to coding demonstrations. The event is free to attend, and takes place on the 17th March 2018, from 10am – 5pm, so come along and meet the team! Specifically targeted towards young people, this family-friendly event offers the opportunity to talk with members of some of the most innovative companies in and around Guildford.
LC Energy hope to increase public awareness of the necessity of sustainability within innovation, encouraging an embrace of creativity and technical skill required for development, whilst maintaining an appreciation for the environment, and preservation of resources for future generations. We hope visitors of all ages will find our exhibition entertaining, motivating and thought-provoking, and look forward to seeing you there!
