Earlier this year, LC Energy installed a 999kW Gilles biomass boiler in our Stonebury hub in Essex, which is now being used to dry wood chip for fuel. The huge installation project includes a modular plant room and an industrial system comprising of 2 x 500 kW exchanger fans, ducting and bins. The biomass system allows us to meet quality specifications for low wood chip moisture within a matter of days, using a renewable energy source.
