The owner of Overnoons Farm in West Sussex has benefitted from his relationship with LC Energy in the clearing of poplar from his woodland. He was able to fell 800 tonnes over summer a couple of years ago, with LC Energy’s help. Logs from the woodland are now used to heat a log batch boiler in his Sussex Farmhouse, which has led to significant savings.
Another example is LC Energy’s work with Peter and Brenda Tebby, managing their 44 acres of ADNW and PAWS mixed woodland they own in Surrey. Previously unmanged, we helped add value to the low grade timber whilst making changes to promote the growth of native ground flora. The low grade material produced is stacked on their front drive, and the rest is taken to a local LC Energy hub, stored to dry, then processed into premium grade wood chip for delivery to local domestic and commercial customers.
