LC Energy were network sponsors at this year’s CLA Forestry conference on 13th October, held at Newbury Racecourse. It was also partnered by the Forestry Commission, Grown In Britain and Silvi culture.
It was great to be at a live event, meeting people in person, with such a great turnout. Seeing how organisations are coming together to fight the challenges faced ahead and looking at ‘The Era of Opportunity’.
Inspiring talks and presentations happened throughout the day, from a great line up of speakers. Lots of discussions occurred on how local and global forestry restoration and nature-based solutions can help fight climate and nature crisis.
Lord Deben started the day with an inspirational talk that captured the audience about how we must enhance the world’s ability to take the carbon in by creating a forestry industry, however, ‘We must constantly press government to pull everything together and make things happen’.
