The annual Forestry Conference is jointly organised by the CLA, the Forestry Commission and Grown in Britain. The event, now in its fourth year, aims to provide strategic information and advice to help inform land ownership & management decisions and debate topical issues from a range of perspectives.Â
‘The Era of Opportunity’ will focus on understanding forestry possibilities and enhancing the prospects of those involved in the industry. We will explore three key areas which are:
- – Payment for Public Benefit
- – Growing Stock to Sell
- – Natural Capitalisation & New MarketsÂ

Lord Deben, Chairman of the Committee on Climate Change will provide the opening keynote and other speakers include Hillary Alison (Environmental Consultant and Forestry Commissioner), The Hampton Estate, Bella Murfin (Defra) and Jo Harrison (United Utilities).Â
There will also be a debate on the challenges and opportunities emerging from the conference and external national and international issues, as well as a range of workshops.Â
