On Saturday 15th June, LC Energy joined at Heathrow Airport Ltd. in an aircraft hanger for their annual fun day for family and staff, allowing all those interested in biomass to stop and chat and understand more about renewable energy. Heathrow Airport have their own energy centre which houses a huge 1MW biomass boiler which provides heat to Terminals 2 and 5, which LC Energy supplies wood chip.
Over the course of the day the LC Energy team gave out 400 spruce saplings to the visitors, so hopefully that will be 400 more trees planted across the South East.
