As a part of the prospectus students from the University of Surrey enrolled on the ‘Environmental Auditing & Management Systems’ course along with course Professor Dr Walter Wehrmeyer visit LC Energy for their annual trip.
Zander Dale, LC Energy’s Stock and Sustainability Co-coordinator, started the trip with a in depth talk at the University of Surrey outlining LC Energy’s management systems, product specifications, accreditations, auditing and woodland management.
Following Zander’s talk and despite the heavy rain, the students made their way to one of LC Energy’s local wood fuel distribution depots and then on to a private managed woodland on a local estate. At both sites Zander addressed how the environment has a significant impact on operations.
The students left with a wider understanding of the role the environment has on LC Energy’s overall supply chain and procedures. LC Energy would like to say thank you everyone who came to today and look forward to next year’s trip!
