2017 is LC Energy’s 10th year in business, and throughout the last decade we have thrived on the hard work of our employees and loyalty of our customers.
Back in 2007, with our 1st local depot in Surrey, we began to establish ourselves in the biomass community. Our starting vision was simple – to ‘provide value to woodland owners through locally distributed supply chains… create jobs and demonstrate secure renewable energy supply to the emerging biomass market’ (Mark Lebus- Managing Director). Ten years later, with thousands of domestic and corporate customers nationwide, from major airports to zoos, we continue to fulfil this promise.
10 years is a long time. A decade ago the first iPhone had not been released to the public and finding evidence for water on Mars seemed unfeasible. We are proud to be prospering in such a time of innovation and breakthrough for businesses, leading the way in the provision of renewable fuel sources in order to provide a sustainable future.
Just last year, the International Energy Agency announced that the world’s capacity to generate electricity from renewable sources had overtaken coal. A huge milestone in the effort for a sustainable future. In addition, according to the BNEF, 70% of Europe’s power will be produced by renewable energy by 2040. This is incredibly exciting, and we are delighted to play a role in reaching these goals.
Last week we hosted a small staff celebration to recognise and enjoy how far we have come since 2007. It was humbling to look back on our beginnings, and reflect on the values that have remained the cornerstone of our success. We aim to prioritise credibility, quality, sustainability, education and innovation in order to provide fantastic customer service through environmentally responsible means. Whether you are interested in biomass system installation, maintenance and repair, or purchase of BSL wood chip and pellets, we strive to provide the same high-quality service to our customers, irrespective of scale or sector. As we reviewed our progress; accreditation, sustainability partnerships and a rapidly expanding client base including personal homes, an international leisure park, universities, and health trusts, it was pleasing to see how these values have been upheld over the years.
We’d like to say thank you to all our customers big and small who have remained loyal and trusting throughout the past decade. We are proud of what LC Energy has accomplished, but could not have done it without your support.
