In the summer of 2014, LC Energy was asked to specify requirements to be met in re-engineering the existing space heating and water heating system at Birtley House Nursing home, who have a substantial requirement for heat. It was also asked to specify improved monitoring and control facilities, for heating circuits, used for space heating and water heating.
In the autumn of 2014, LC Energy supplied and installed a new, larger, replacement, wood chip-fired boiler system, in order to meet the requirements which it had identified for Birtley House. It also designed, built and installed improved monitoring and control facilities for the space heating and water heating system. Birtley House have successfully applied for the RHI.
The morning will include a welcome from Robin Edwards of the CLA and presentations from Simon Whalley – owner of Birtley House and Mark Lebus – MD of LC Energy, with a tour of the biomass boiler installation and delivery of wood fuel.
The presentations and tour will include details of the installation, the wood fuel supply chain and securing Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments.
