Dr Walter Wehrmeyer from the Centre for Environmental Strategy at Surrey University visited LC Energy on March 3rd with a group of students enrolled on an Environmental Auditing and Management systems course.
This was the second year that Walter and his students visited LC Energy as part of the course and we look forward to making this an annual event.
The visit started with a talk by Mark Lebus the Managing Director of LC Energy at the head office, then followed by a site visit to one of LC Energy’s distribution hubs nearby for a tour by Sophie Sewell from LC Energy’s operation team. The site visit addressed LC Energy’s operational and management processes, health and safety and auditing.
The visit was a great success, the students left inspired and with a wider knowledge and understanding of the overall procedures, control measures and management of biomass supply chain.
