Course Professor Dr Walter Wehrmeyer and students enrolled on the ‘Environmental Auditing & Management Systems’ course at Surrey University visited LC Energy today for their annual trip as a part of their course prospectus.
The visit began with a talk by Zander Dale, LC Energy’s Stock and Sustainability Co-coordinator, at the Head Office. The discussion outlined LC Energy’s production methods and management systems and the crucial role of the environment within these operations. The talk was followed with a site visit to a private woodland on a nearby estate and then on to one of LC Energy’s local wood fuel distribution depots. On site Zander addressed woodland management, LC Energy’s operational and management processes, product specifications, accreditations and auditing.
The students found the trip enlightening and left with a broader understanding of the impact and role of the environment has on LC Energy’s overall procedures, control measures and management systems. LC Energy would like to say thank you everyone who visited and look forward many more visits to come!
