University of Surrey Visit LC Energy’s New Albury Depot

Students enrolled on the ‘Environmental Auditing & Management Systems’ course at Surrey University & course Professor Dr Walter Wehrmeyer visited LC Energy on the 17th May for their annual trip as a part of their course curriculum.

The visit began with a talk by Zander Dale, LC Energy’s Stock and Sustainability Co-cooordinator, at the Head Office. The discussion outlined LC Energy’s production processes and management systems and the crucial role of the environment within these operations. The talk was followed with a site visit to one of LC Energy’s distribution hubs nearby, where Zander was joined by Sophie Foakes, Operations Co-coordinator, in leading a site tour. The site visit addressed LC Energy’s operational and management processes, product specifications, accreditations and health and safety and auditing.

Overall, the weather fortunately stayed dry and the day was a huge success! The students found the trip enjoyable and informative and left with an wider understanding of the impact and role of the environment on overall procedures, control measures and management systems within our company. We look forward to meeting more students next year!
