On the 1st April 2022 changes to the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) legislation are coming into effect. Under the new legislation, all wood fuels registered on the Biomass Suppliers List (BSL) must meet the following fuel quality criteria for you to continue to claim the RHI:
– All wood pellets must meet the ENplus® A1 Standard or an equivalent standard.
– Wood chip fuel must meet the fuel quality standard EN 15234-1: 2011(10), ISO 9001: 2015(11) or EN ISO 17225-4: 2014(12) or an equivalent standard.
– All wood chip must be certified under the Woodsure Certification Scheme.
