LC Energy Installs a Biomass Boiler at a Domestic Property in West Sussex

LC Energy have installed a Klover 120 Smart 21kW biomass boiler, in a detached 5 bed domestic property based in Billingshurst West-Sussex, that will provide heating and hot water throughout the property.

The installation was fully up and running within 5 days and involved replacing the entire flue system including the liner and flue, fitting pipes to connect the cylinder on the first floor as well as mixing valves and electrical connections. LC Energy fitted the system with an inhibitor and chemicals to protect the biomass boiler and pipes from corrosion over time.

LC Energy commissioned the boiler, verifying that all elements are working and the correct settings for the boiler are set for the property type and its heating requirements. We also delivered the commissioning load of bagged wood pellet fuel and will continue to deliver fuel on demand.

On commissioning we provide the MCS certification for the biomass installation, allowing our customers to apply for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payback Scheme. For more information on the RHI please click here.

For domestic and commercial properties, biomass can make a significant, positive contribution towards the decarbonisation of heat in the UK and help reach the UK Government’s net zero by 2050 targets. Biomass is suitable solution that helps hard-to-heat, rural off-grid properties switch to low carbon heating, the majority of which are still using fossil fuels like oil, coal or LPG that in comparison work out more expensive than wood fuel.
